About Us
John Schinnerer and Ron Waddell founded the Silver Fox in 1981, and joined by Micheal Loberg created Southern California’s first video bar. In 1985 John Barnes came aboard as manager and the Fox as it is commonly known, established itself as one of the most popular and successful nightclubs in Long Beach. Our business creed is service to our community while creating a safe and welcoming environment and of course, serving up the delicious cocktails for which we are renowned.
We consider ourselves the Premiere Nightclub in Long Beach, with the largest selection of spirits of any club in the area. We have recently had a major remodel of our interior, creating luminous space lighting with color effects and projections in addition to our multi-screens, featuring contemporary and classic music videos in an inviting and comfortable lounge setting. The building facade is a collaboration of John Schinnerer and famed Art Deco restorationist Joe Musil, recreating actual design element used in the San Francisco Bay Exhibition of 1940.
Our weekly events include a Tuesday 2 for 1 promotion, happy hour special pricing, live VJ's on Fridays and Saturdays, and Karaoke on Sundays.
